The Marigold Member Libraries' Workshop (MLW) is an annual one day conference providing sessions on relevant topics to library staff and board members.

CALL FOR PROPOSALS

The 2020 Marigold Member Libraries’ Workshop (MLW) will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2020 at the Best Western Premier Calgary Plaza Hotel & Conference Centre in Calgary, AB.

The theme of MLW 2020 is Make it Matter, Make it Happen

What motivates you? What makes you optimistic and fills you with a sense of meaning? When you choose to make something matter to you, you will be determined to make it happen. Take positive initiative and make it matter, make it happen.

The MLW Planning Committee invites session proposals that may benefit, support, or inspire library staff and board members.

Possible session topics include:

  • Programming (all ages) – traditional, non-traditional, and makerspaces
  • Customer service
  • Fundraising/Fund development/Grants
  • Social media
  • Technology

*Other topics of interest will be considered

Please note – preference will be given to sessions that provide practical application.

Workshop sessions are one hour in length.
