Library to You (L2U)

L2U is a free mail service offered to those who face physical or geographic difficulties in visiting their local library in person.

Who is eligible for L2U service?

L2U service is open to residents within Marigold member municipalities.

How do I register for L2U?

Online: Adult/Family Registration     Single Minor (under 14) Registration

Your library card(s) will be mailed to you.

How do I choose/order library materials?

Once registered for L2U service you will receive the current L2U Catalogue. You may order materials from this catalogue:

  • By mail - fill out and mail in the green selection card provided with your catalogue
  • By email: directservices@marigold.ab.ca 
  • By phone: 1.855.934.5334, ext. 230

You library materials will be mailed to you free of charge.

How do I return my library materials?

Mailed library materials will arrive in a mailbag. A postage-paid return label will be provided. Please use the provided label and bag to return your library materials by mail to Marigold.

There are no mailing costs to you for this service.

How do I access digital services such as eBooks, magazines, music, and more?

Through your membership to Marigold you have free 24/7 access to a wide range of quality digital library services including eBooks, eAudiobooks, digital magazines and newspapers, music streaming and downloading, research tools, and more!

L2U background and history

Marigold has been providing L2U service since 1981. This is a valuable component of library service and we are pleased to collaborate with our partners, Shortgrass Library System and Chinook Arch Regional Library System, to extend the service to other areas.
