1 September 2020

Marigold and the WID celebrated the official start of construction with a ground-breaking ceremony. Marigold CEO Michelle Toombs (l-r) Wheatland County Reeve Amber Link, Siksika Councillor Reuben "Buck" Breaker, Marigold Board Chair Lynda Lyster, WID Board Chair Dan Shute, Airdrie-East MLA Angela Pitt, Strathmore Town Councillor Denise Peterson, WID General Manager David McAllister and MP Martin Shields took part in the turning of the sod ceremony.

13 August 2020

The Town of Strathmore approved and signed the Building Permit.

20 July 2020

WID excavators began site clearing at the joint facility's new location near the No Frills grocery store in Strathmore.

17 July 2020

The Marigold Executive Committee approved Lear Construction Management LTD as the contractor for the new joint facility for Marigold and the WID.

July 2020

The Town of Strathmore presented Marigold and the WID with the Development Agreement in July.

10 March 2020

Marigold met with BRZ Partnership Architecture Inc.'s interior designer to review proposed finishings for the facility. This includes flooring, lighting and general colour schemes. Another meeting took place on 26 March to discuss preliminary furniture proposals and other finishings.

13 December 2019

The updated project schedule was presented at the Joint Facility Committee meeting.

18 July 2019

Marigold staff had a chance to review the new building design, shortly after the Marigold Executive Committee approved the new facility design plans.

Civic Works Planning & Design presented a conceptual site plan to residents during the Open House at the Strathmore Municipal Building.

Discussions begin with Town of Strathmore for rezoning options, permits and timelines.
